General Terms and Conditions

The following general terms and conditions apply upon making a reservation.

Deviations from these general terms and conditions are only possible if agreed upon in writing in advance.

Definitions

1. Il Verdone: Il Verdone, allogio privato, Località Monte Ozzastru snc. 07049 Usini (SS), Italy. CIN: IT090077C2000T6906

2. Owners: Legally represented by the owners, Mrs. S.S. Goren and Mr. J.J. de Haan. The owners may be replaced by a manager;

3. Guest: a person staying at Il Verdone and registered as such;

4. Main Guest: the person who (also on behalf of other guests) has made a reservation at Il Verdone. The main guest must be over 18 years of age and is responsible and liable for their fellow guests; 5. Reservation: We consider a reservation valid once it has been confirmed by Il Verdone.

1. Reservation

a. A reservation will be confirmed exclusively by email.

b. After booking, a deposit of 30% of the total amount must be paid within 7 calendar days.

c. The booking is final upon receipt of confirmation of the deposit.

d. The remaining amount must be paid no later than four weeks before arrival. If the booking is made less than four weeks before arrival, the full amount must be paid within 7 days.

e. If no payment is received within the specified timeframe, Il Verdone reserves the right to consider the booking null and void and release the reserved period for another guest.

f. In the event of cancellation, no refund of amounts already paid is possible. We therefore recommend that you obtain your own travel insurance.

g. We do not charge booking fees, and you do not have to pay tourist tax.

h. In the event of force majeure, Il Verdone reserves the right to terminate the agreement. Any payments already made will be refunded to the guest. The guest is not entitled to compensation. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: illness or death of one of the owners, damage to the accommodation due to storm, fire, or other circumstances that (temporarily) prevent normal use of the accommodation, extreme weather conditions, power outages, epidemics, government measures, or sale of the property.

2. Information

a. Practical information will be sent two weeks before arrival. This includes detailed directions.

b. If you have any questions prior to your stay, you can always contact us by email or phone.

3. Check-in and Check-out

a. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and

b. Check-out is until 10:00 AM.

c. Exceptions to this policy can be made upon consultation, for example, if you wish to drop off luggage earlier in the day.

4. Privacy

a. Upon arrival, all guests must identify themselves with an official identification document (passport, ID card, driver's license, etc.). Italian law requires the registration of personal data of all guests.

b. Il Verdone will treat all personal data provided or disclosed to it confidentially and will not make it available to others.

c. We guarantee that personal data will be used in accordance with European and Italian privacy legislation.

d. Taking photos, videos, or audio recordings of other guests without express permission is prohibited.

5. Liability

a. Il Verdone is not liable for the loss or damage of guests' property.

b. The rooms are equipped with unique locks, and we therefore request that guests lock these at all times.

c. The parking lot is not locked or monitored. We can lock this area upon request, provided it doesn't cause any problems for other guests. Motorcycles and bicycles can be parked out of sight.

d. Il Verdone is situated on a hilly terrain, and the garden has steps and raised areas. The pool is not fenced. Young children are welcome, but parents/guardians are responsible for their children's safety at all times.

6. Damage and Undesirable Behavior

a. Guests must behave appropriately and respectfully towards other guests, the owners, property, and the surrounding environment. In the event of inappropriate behavior, violation of the terms and conditions, or verbal instructions, the owners reserve the right to deny guests access to the B&B without refunding the cost of their stay.

b. Damage to the house, garden, furniture, and other items must be compensated at their replacement value. Damage will be recovered from the lead guest, even if caused by another guest.

c. Damage also includes the loss of property provided by Il Verdone, including keys.

7. House Rules

a. Pets are generally not allowed. Assistance dogs are, of course, allowed, but we recommend contacting us in advance.

b. Smoking is prohibited indoors. Smoking is only permitted outdoors where it does not disturb other guests.

c. Open fires are not permitted. Before using the barbecue, please consult with us first to avoid any potential disturbance to other guests.

d. We ask that you remain silent between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please also refrain from causing noise disturbance at other times.

e. It is not permitted to host guests other than those booked without prior consultation.

f. Parties or other events are not permitted.

g. Waste separation is mandatory in Sardinia. Small waste bins are provided in the bathrooms. We ask that you separate larger amounts of waste and dispose of them in the bins in the common area.

h. The owners live in an apartment in the same building and are available to answer questions and provide tourist information.
